Bill

I have played chess since 1968, a member of the US Chess Federations since 1969, President of both North Carolina Chess Association and Ohio Chess Association, and author of over 40 books on chess and over 1,000 articles in other books, magazine, and online. As an Air Force officer, I have been assigned and lived in WA, NC, SC, CA, TX, OH, Thailand, Guam, Okinawa, and the UAE.

Overview

I live in Palm Bay, Florida. I am a senior scientist at L3Harris Corporation and have worked there for over 23 years as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE). I provide computer security for DoD, NASA, DOC, NOAA, and NWS programs.

I am a retired Air Force officer (1970-1995) and spent 6 years at NASA as an information security engineer. I am a chess and tennis enthusiast.

The 40-min Experience

This experience is run with 4 participants in a period of 40 minutes.
What can you expect? An interactive informal sessions covering history of chess, trivia, discussion on opening moves and traps, and more chess talk from an expert on the subject.
